2nd Tordas Picnic
Tordas Castle’s tradition-building autumn gathering, the Tordas Picnic, welcomes guests for the second time in 2026 in the historic setting of the castle. This year’s featured guest is EWTN Hungary, which has carried forward in Hungary for 16 years the service Mother Angelica began 45 years ago – in new forms, with new partners and through interconnected platforms. This is EWTN Next.

2nd Tordas Picnic
From the beginning, Mother Angelica’s vision was to bring the Good News of the Gospel to as many people as possible through modern means of communication. EWTN Next unfolds this mission in Hungary: built on the values of television, yet reaching beyond it through an interconnected media-mission ecosystem. EWTN Next – one mission, multiple platforms. At the 2nd Tordas Picnic on 5 September, EWTN Hungary’s staff, media missionaries, supporters and friends will encounter this emerging vision for the first time. Tordas Castle, taking shape as EWTN’s creative centre, is a fitting home for this new beginning: for encounter, shared thinking and the relationships from which the service of the coming years can grow.
